Full-Time Program
OCTOBER 2008
The EE department strongly recommends all tests (GRE and TOEFL) be taken early in the fall to ensure a timely submission.
16 DECEMBER 2008 - APPLICATION DEADLINE
Applications and all supporting materials (this includes all test scores) must be post-marked by 16 December 2008 in order to be considered for admission and financial aid to our full-time programs.
WEEK OF 9 MARCH 2009
The third week in March is the target date to have all admission decisions finalized and communicated. All admission decisions will be communicated via email. WE WILL NOT PROVIDE ADMISSION DECISIONS OVER THE PHONE.
15 APRIL 2009
Deadline to reply to offers of admission with funding.
MAY 2009
Deadline to apply for housing using the Stanford online registration system. Please visit the Graduate Housing office website for a list of their application deadlines.
END OF SEPTEMBER 2009
New Student Orientation. More information on this event will be sent to you via email throughout the summer.
Part-Time Program (Honors Cooperative Program)
Applications are accepted on a
quarterly basis. The deadlines are:

Please allow four to six weeks for a decision. Decisions will be communicated via email.
During the Winter (January - March) and Summer Quarters, decisions may take a little longer.
If applying during the Autumn quarter for Winter, Spring or Summer quarter start, the appropriate selection will be unavailable in the online application system. Please select the Autumn quarter and after submitting the application, immediately send an email to the EE Admissions Office to let us know to which quarter you are applying to. Please write your name in the email as it appears in the application.
Stanford Students Adding a Degree, Petitioning to take the Oral Exam or Applying for Reinstatement
For petitions to add a degree in EE, decisions will take approximately three weeks from the time of submission. All decisions will be sent out via email.
Reinstatements to the degree program should take about one week. The Office of the Registrar will send out a formal notice.
Ineligible students petitioning to take the Oral Qualifying exam will be informed three weeks after submission.
