Adding a Degree in EE

Stanford students wishing to add a graduate degree in EE are encouraged to contact the Admissions Office (Packard 170) to discuss their circumstance. Stanford will now charge US$50 for each Graduate Authorization Petition submitted to the department. This will be added to your University Bill.

Students must have completed two quarters (excluding summer) as a full time student at Stanford and then submit the following to the EE Admissions Office.  Please bring all paperwork to the EE Admissions Office first.  Please do not take any part of the application to the Registrar's Office without checking with the EE Admissions Office.

Technical GPA is defined as all engineering courses (except technical writing), mathematics, compuer science and hard sciences (physics and chemistry).  Please list Stanford grades only.

4)  Three (3) letters of recommendation (2 from EE faculty members) - form found here:

There is no deadline.  Completed applications must be submitted to the EE Graduate Admissions Office (Packard 170).  Please allow three weeks for a decision.
