Graduate Admissions Information

Applying to the Electrical Engineering Department

All applications must be submitted online at the following URL:  http://gradadmissions.stanford.edu.  By using the online application, information is entered directly into our database.  This ensures the consistency of information and reduction of error.

If you are unable to apply online, you may request, by mail, a paper application form from the central Office of Graduate Admissions.  For more information, please visit their website at :  http://gradadmissions.stanford.edu/applying/about.html . 

Please note that it may take up to one week (from the date your request is received) for the application materials to be delivered; three or more weeks for international delivery. Paper applications are not sent via overnight or express mail.

Re-applying to EE

Re-applicants must submit a new application and pay the appropriate fee to Stanford University.  This is a University requirement and may not be waived by the department.  If the previous application was submitted within the last 3 years, re-applicants may re-use official transcripts, letters of recommendation and valid test scores.  Simply send an email to the EE Admissions Office and provide the name of each recommender, school and exam (GRE or TOEFL) to be included with your new application. Please be specific with your request.
