If your mailing address changes, you must update your Stanford Account in Axess immediately.  Updating your information ensures you will continue to receive current information from both EE and the University.

You recently received an email asking you to update your email address to the Stanford email address. This is to ensure that you do not lose any important messages.

International Students:

Within 24 hours of your arrival,  enter your new local it into Axess and then go to Bechtel International Center with your passport picture (picture ID) and I-20 or DS-2019 to have the hold on your accout removed so you can sign up for classes.

If you have any questions/problems, please contact the Bechtel International Center.

New Graduate Student Orientation:
Thursday, September 20, 2007

For a copy of the agenda, please click here.

New Graduate Student Orientation is mandatory.  If you are unable to attend, please send an email to the Admissions Office immediately.

This year's Orientation will be a one-day event.  The day will begin at 7:45 am with Registration and a continental breakfast served at the W. R. Hewlett & D. Packard Quad.

Orientation events will cover important departmental information.  Along with basic information on the department, Student Services personnel will be introduced, Lab Directors will be giving presentations on their labs and a student panel will be available to answer your questions. A BBQ lunch will be served.  If you have any dietary needs, please let us know.

Campus Tours:

Tell us what you are interested in seeing!  Do you want to see the buildings where your classes will be held, where the libraries are located, where to buy books or maybe where to get that first cup of morning coffee to get you going for the day!   The tours will be given by some of our current graduate students.  Depending on your requests, we will arrange to have two or three tours available on Friday morning.

Advisor Assignments:

You will receive your advisor when you register the morning of the EE Mandatory Orientation (see above).  You do not need to meet with your advisor prior to enrolling in courses.
